Ms. Waraporn Theerasak, Associate Dean for International Affairs of BUUIC, and Ms. Kanoknat Intaboon, Director of BUU’s Student Affairs, accompanied two BUU student representatives to attend the 20th AUN and ASEAN+3 Educational Forum and the 9th Young Speakers’ Contest 2024. The event was co-hosted by the AUN and Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya, Indonesia, from 22 – 27 October 2024. The student representatives included Ms. Papitchaya Prinyokun, a B.A. student from the International College participating in the Young Speakers’ Contest (YSC), and Mr. Sirawich Thongmeema, President of the Student Council, a student from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, participating in the Educational Forum. The event’s theme was an Assembly of Youths for an Emancipated Future. This event was not held to compete but to collaborate between countries. Moreover, this event was an excellent opportunity for students to practice developing an emancipatory education policy. They also got to network with professors and students from other countries.
