International Students Experience Thai Culture Through Krathong-Making Workshop

On November 4, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kongkidakarn Sakulsinlapakorn and Ajarn Hataipat Phungpumkaew hosted a cultural immersion program for international exchange students at Room IC306 (BUUIC). This workshop aimed to preserve Thai cultural heritage, foster cultural exchange, and strengthen bonds between Thai and international students. The significance of Loy Krathong festival was explained to the participants, who also learned the traditional craft of making krathongs.

Students from our partner universities such as Trisakti School of Management (Indonesia), National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (Taiwan), Kuban State University (Russia), Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Ravensburg (Germany), and Jilin International Studies University (China), were present at the event.

The workshop effectively promoted cross-cultural understanding and gave international students a genuine Thai cultural experience through practical exercises and cultural discussion, reaffirming the faculty’s dedication to global education and cross-cultural interaction.
