Guest Speaker from HTM Program Joins International Webinar on Culinary Tourism

Asst. Prof. Hataipat Phungpumkaew, Associate Dean for International Affairs and Global Relations and an instructor in the Hospitality, Tourism, and MICE (HTM) Program at Burapha University International College (BUUIC), was recently invited as a guest speaker at an international webinar titled “Elevate Indonesia’s Culinary Tourism to the Global Stage: Potentials and Challenges.” The event took place on May 22, 2025, in Jakarta, Indonesia, and was organized by the Tourism Destination Study Program.

Asst. Prof. Hataipat delivered a presentation on the topic “Sharing Experience: Food Diplomacy to Elevate Thailand’s National Tourism,” highlighting the role of culinary diplomacy in promoting Thai tourism on the global stage.

The webinar featured distinguished speakers from across the region, including representatives from Taylor’s University in Malaysia, renowned chefs, and professionals from Indonesia’s food and hospitality industry.
