On March 10, 2025, Dr. Wichien Rueboon, as the conductor, alongside Mr. Abhisek Tiwari, the co-conductor, led a group of 29 third-year students from the Smart Logistics and Supply Chain Management curriculum at Burapha International College, Burapha University, on an educational field trip to Honeywell Electronic Materials (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
This visit was part of the Lean Manufacturing and Supply Chain course, providing students with firsthand insights into modern production processes and supply chain management practices. The trip was supported by a team of industry professionals who shared their expertise with the students. The visit was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications, allowing students to observe and engage with industry professionals in a live production environment. This experience significantly enriched their understanding of lean manufacturing principles and supply chain management strategies.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to gain learning-based real-life experience in the field of lean manufacturing and supply chain. They explored various production shops to see firsthand how lean management principles are applied in different sections of the manufacturing line. Observing real-time implementations of lean processes, waste reduction strategies, and efficiency improvements allowed students to connect classroom learning with industry best practices.
The event took place from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, during which students actively participated in discussions, observed operations, and gained valuable insights into the challenges and innovations within the manufacturing sector.
