Cooking Class on Thai Cuisine, Dessert, and Fruit Carving at BUUIC

On March 7, 2025, Burapha University International College (BUUIC) hosted a cooking class focused on Thai cuisine, dessert, and fruit carving. The class was part of the Thai Traditional Arts and the Hands to Hearts Project, integrated into the Thai Art and Architecture course. Exchange students from Brunei, Japan, Taiwan, and the United States participated in the event.

Students learned from an expert Thai chef how to prepare Massaman Curry and a traditional Thai dessert. To conclude the session, they watched the chef perform Thai fruit carving, a highly regarded art form requiring precision and creativity. This intricate practice has been a respected tradition in Thailand for centuries.

Thai cuisine and fruit carving are deeply embedded in Thailand’s culture, reflecting its rich history, artistic heritage, and culinary excellence. BUUIC eagerly anticipates its next Thai Art and Cultural project in collaboration with Hands to Hearts in the near future.
