On July 20-23, 2026, Burapha University International College (BUUIC) welcomed students from the National University of Singapore (NUS), led by Prof. Lee Chee Keng, for a community-based research visit exploring the culture, local way of life, and community identity of Bangsaen and Chonburi. The activity was organized and coordinated by Aj. Sirintorn Thepmongkorn and Dr. Krita-orn Chewwasang.
During their visit, the students had the opportunity to learn directly from local experts, including Ms. Kanueng Khailuenam, Chonburi Provincial Cultural Office, and Dr. Watcharapong Khunpluem, President of the Thai Hotels Association – Eastern Chapter. Their valuable insights provided the students with a deeper understanding of Chonburi’s cultural heritage, local communities, tourism, and way of life.
The students also explored several iconic cultural and local destinations, including Mae Charoen Khao Lam, NMW Cafe and Club, Wat Yai Intharam and Chonburi Old Town. Through these hands-on experiences, they gained first-hand perspectives on the traditions, local food, history, and unique community identity of Chonburi.
