Today, Burapha University International College (BUUIC) was pleased to host a delegation from BINUS University, Indonesia. The visiting academics included Associate Professor Dr. Teguh Amor Patria, Associate Professor Dr. Dicky Hida Syahchari, and Dr. Murty Mogda Pane, all of whom are esteemed researchers and lecturers.
The primary objective of the meeting was to coordinate a collaborative research initiative between the two institutions, focusing on the role of digital technology in community-based tourism. Discussions centered on how digital innovations can enhance community engagement and support sustainable tourism management at the local level.
As part of the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to explore the Takian Tia Community in Chonburi, gaining firsthand insights into how Thai communities manage local tourism through a community-based approach. The visit included participation in local activities, offering a valuable cultural exchange and a deeper understanding of grassroots tourism development in Thailand.
BUUIC recognizes BINUS University as a key strategic partner in academic research, and we look forward to developing further joint research projects in the years ahead. We are confident that this collaboration will continue to yield meaningful contributions to the fields of tourism and community development
