BUUIC Students Visit Toyota Motor Thailand

On 18 October 2023, students from Burapha University International College (BUUIC) visited Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd. at BanPho in Chachengsao Province.  Some of the students are from the Smart Logistics and Supply Chain major. Other students are from the Digital Marketing major. Assistant Professor Dr. Siwaporn Kunnapapdeelert, Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies and Acting Chairperson of Smart Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Assistant Professor Passarin Phalitnontkiat, Digital Marketing Instructor, led the group.

The students learned about the company’s operations and logistics-related tactics throughout the visit. Specifically, the students learned about the Just-in-Time (JIT) production system, the Heijunka (leveling) system, the quality control system, the material handling system, and the supplier management system. In addition, the staff discussed Toyota’s sustainable development objectives.

Toyota’s dedication to effectiveness, quality, and sustainability impressed the BUUIC students. The students also appreciated the opportunity to gain knowledge from business experts.
