On 24 October 2023, one hundred and sixty BUUIC students participated in a seminar called “Literacy to Dating Applications for the 21st Century”. The seminar was delivered by Mr. Mongkol Jarujanya, a manager at Maneeya Realty. Some of the seminar topics surprised the audience. Mr. Mongkol discussed the history and statistics of dating partners in the 1980s, the modern approach to romance, the differences in dating apps used by younger generations versus the ones used by older generations, and the importance of digital literacy for young people when using dating apps. He also discussed the brain chemicals that play a crucial role while using dating apps. This seminar was organized as part of a BUUIC general education subject called “Digital Literacy for the 21st Century.”
