BUUIC Partners with CropLife Asia and TAITA on Sustainable Packaging Initiative

On July 17, 2025, Burapha University International College (BUUIC) officially launched a new collaboration with CropLife Asia and the Thai Agricultural Innovation Trade Association (TAITA) focused on container stewardship. The visit marked the kickoff of a project commissioned to BUUIC, titled “Development of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) on Primary Pesticide Packaging Waste under the Sustainable Pesticide Management Framework.” This vital initiative aims to proactively prepare the crop-protection industry for upcoming EPR legislation, as Thailand’s Pollution Control Department (PCD) develops the (draft) Sustainable PacOn July 17, 2025, Burapha University International College (BUUIC) officially launched a new collaboration with CropLife Asia and the Thai Agricultural Innovation Trade Association (TAITA) focused on container stewardship. The meeting began with an insightful presentation by Dr. Panate Manomaivibool, BUUIC’s Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Sustainability Management, who reviewed successful container management programs from countries like Germany, Brazil, and Australia. Ms. Goh followed by sharing valuable experiences from Malaysia, sparking a productive discussion among all parties.

This collaboration marks a promising first step toward ensuring active engagement from industry and key stakeholders in building a more sustainable future for packaging in Thailand.
