From March 29 to April 2, 2026, Burapha University International College (BUUIC) successfully organized a Global Experience Program in Taipei, Taiwan, in collaboration with Ming Chuan University. The program was led by Asst. Prof. Passarin Phalitnonkiat, Dr. Wichien Rueboon, and Mr. Kitja Lairayapong.
This international initiative provided students with valuable opportunities to engage in both academic and cultural learning. Participants attended introductory Mandarin Chinese classes designed to enhance their basic communication skills in real-life contexts.
The program also featured a series of cultural excursions to some of Taipei’s most iconic landmarks. Students visited the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, a historic and cultural symbol of Taiwan, as well as Taipei 101, once the tallest building in the world and a representation of modern innovation. At Longshan Temple, students experienced traditional Taiwanese religious practices and local spirituality.
In addition, students explored the vibrant Ximen District, known for its dynamic atmosphere, youth culture, and local street shopping. The group also traveled to Shifen and Jiufen, two renowned destinations rich in heritage and scenic beauty. At Shifen, students participated in the traditional sky lantern activity, symbolizing hopes and wishes, while Jiufen offered a glimpse into Taiwan’s historic mountain town, famous for its narrow alleys, tea houses, and stunning coastal views.
Throughout the program, students had the opportunity to interact with international peers, fostering cross-cultural understanding and global perspectives. These experiences contributed to the development of essential 21st-century skills, including communication, adaptability, and intercultural competence.
This program reflects BUUIC’s strong commitment to internationalization, experiential learning, and global academic collaboration, preparing students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
