BUUIC Logistics Junior Students Visit Laem Chabang Port Customs Office

On September 3rd, 2024, Ajarn Abhishek Tiwari led his Transportation and Distribution Management class on an educational visit to the Laem Chabang Port Customs Office, with Ajarn Kasemsri Ittiphong, Acting Chairperson of the B.B.A. in Smart Logistics and Supply Chain Management program, joining the group. This visit provided students with hands-on learning about real-world customs operations in logistics.

Upon arrival, the students were welcomed by Ms. Kannika from the customs office. Mr. Morakut from the Customs Department conducted an in-depth presentation on the department’s operations, including the use of advanced technologies like X-ray screening and the Thai Customs Electronic System. The visit also explored the layout and functions of Laem Chabang Port and Siracha Harbour, emphasizing their role in efficient customs processes.

This visit offered students valuable insights into the critical role of technology and organization in effective logistics management.
