On March 13, 2025, Dr. Wichien Rueboon and Mr. Abhishek Tiwari led 2nd-year Transport Economics students on a field trip to Whale Logistics, Sriracha. The visit provided students with practical insights into logistics service providers (LSPs), transportation operations, and Free Zone privileges, helping them understand their role in global trade and supply chain management.
The students were warmly welcomed by Dr. Krittaya Mongkolwong, General Administrative Manager, who introduced them to Whale Logistics and its contributions to Thailand’s logistics industry. Following this, Miss Nareekan Green, Sales and Marketing Manager, delivered an engaging presentation on Whale Logistics’ operations, services, and market strategies. She highlighted how logistics companies facilitate efficient transportation and supply chain solutions, particularly in sectors like automotive and agricultural transport.
A key highlight of the visit was a guided tour by Mr. Thanaporn Wisankitti, Senior Business Development Manager, who took the students to the Free Zone in Sriracha. He provided an in-depth explanation of how Free Zones support trade and investment while streamlining manufacturing, assembly, and distribution processes. Students gained valuable insights into the advantages of Economic Free Zones, Industrial Free Zones, and Hybrid Free Zones and their impact on global supply chain operations.
This field trip offered students valuable hands-on learning, reinforcing their academic knowledge and exposing them to real-world logistics practices. By engaging with industry professionals and observing operational processes firsthand, students developed a deeper understanding of supply chain efficiency and global trade dynamics, preparing them for future careers in the logistics industry.
