BUUIC Leading Sustainable Agricultural Innovation

Burapha University International College (BUUIC), continues to drive the future of Thailand’s circular economy! On March 9, 2026, BUUIC academic-service team hosted a high-level steering committee meeting at the Rama Gardens Hotel, Bangkok, to review the progress of the “Study on Container Management Systems based on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)”. The project is funded by the Thai Agricultural Innovation Trade Association (TAITA).
Meeting Highlights & Strategic Directions:

  • Policy Synergy: The session served as a critical platform to evaluate the Progress Report, ensuring it aligns with Thailand’s regulatory systems and the upcoming Sustainable Packaging Management Act.
  • Expert Consultation: We were honored to welcome distinguished experts and representatives from related government agencies and the leading academia in the circular economy to provide strategic oversight.
  • Global Best Practices: The team presented deep-dive analyses into “Gold Standard” models from Germany and Brazil, highlighting how triple-rinsing and declassification can slash logistics costs for Thai farmers.
    Why This Matters?
As Thailand prepares for mandatory EPR enforcement, BUUIC is at the forefront, bridging the gap between international success and local implementation. Stay tuned as we move into the final phase of this research to deliver actionable policy recommendations for a Greener Thailand!
