BUUIC Conducts an Online Seminar on “The Impact of the Middle East War on the Economy and Finance of Thailand”

On March 31, 2026, from 14:30 to 16:30, students from the Department of Finance’s Current Issues in Finance course and Mr Jirayut Pitanon BUUIC, Finance Instructor, effectively organized a seminar on “The Middle East War’s Effect on Thai Finance and the Economy” at Burapha University International College (BUUIC).

The seminar’s objective was to improve the comprehension of students and participants regarding the substantial influence that geopolitical conflicts, particularly those in the Middle East, can have on the global, regional, and Thai economies. The implications for business planning, financial decision-making, and investment strategies across industries were the primary focus.

Ms. Sirilak Khetsoongnoen, University Lecturer, Faculty of Business Administration, Modern Administration and Management, Sripatum University at Chonburi Campus. She provided vital insights on the conflict’s significant economic and financial consequences, including:
-Increasing inflationary pressures
-The volatility of exchange rates is influenced by capital flows.
-The tourism sector is being affected by the rising costs of international travel.

The objective of this seminar is to equip students with the analytical skills necessary to navigate the complex and rapidly changing financial landscape of today, thereby demonstrating BUUIC’s dedication to offering students real-world, globally pertinent perspectives.
