On June 1, 2026, Burapha University International College (BUUIC) concluded the Daily Vehicle Check List Project, a three-month initiative launched on March 1, 2026, to establish a standardized pre-departure inspection procedure for all official College vehicles. Throughout the project period, two drivers completed a 15-point inspection form for three official vehicles before every working day, covering engine oil and coolant levels, brake and clutch fluids, battery condition, tire pressure and spare tire, fuel level, lighting and signal systems, wipers, air conditioning, seat belts, emergency equipment, and overall vehicle cleanliness. The project achieved 100 percent inspection compliance across all working days, with no accidents or operational disruptions arising from vehicle defects, and any irregularities identified during inspection were reported and repaired immediately. Completed inspection records have been compiled as internal control documentation and analyzed to support preventive maintenance planning. Rather than ending with the project period, the inspection has been adopted as a permanent standard operating procedure and now forms part of the drivers’ daily routine, to be carried out before every vehicle use on an ongoing basis. Implemented without additional budget allocation, the project reduced accident risk, improved fuel efficiency, and lowered greenhouse gas emissions, reinforcing BUUIC’s commitment to Burapha University’s Green University policy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
