Burapha University International College (BUUIC) hosted its annual Songkran 2026 celebration, bringing together administrators, instructors, staff, and students for a meaningful morning of Thai New Year traditions. The event commenced with an opening address by Mrs. Sirintorn Thepmongkorn, Associate Dean for Administration and Talent Management, followed by the ceremonial pouring of water over the Buddha statue and the Rod Nam Dam Hua tradition — a gesture of respect offered to senior faculty and staff. Adding a vibrant cultural dimension to the occasion, exchange students showcased two memorable performances: a traditional Thai Ramwong dance and a Russian folk dance, celebrating the diversity of the international college community and fostering meaningful cross-cultural exchange. Students also participated in the building of sand pagodas, a merit-making custom believed to bring good fortune in the new year.
