On July 13, 2026, Burapha University International College (BUUIC), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DOA), hosted the 2nd Public-Private and Industry Stakeholder Consultation at the Pullman King Power Hotel, Bangkok, to advance a sustainable Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) model for agricultural chemical packaging. Asst. Prof. Dr. Krittipat Pitchayadejanant, Dean of BUUIC, highlighted the importance of strengthening reverse logistics systems, while Mr. Wittaya Buasri, Director of the Hazardous Substances Control Division, DOA, emphasized that effective management of used agrochemical containers is essential to enhancing the global competitiveness of Thai agriculture. Asst. Prof. Dr. Panate Manomaivibool, Project Leader, presented integrated approaches to EPR and area-based reverse logistics before leading a collaborative workshop with government agencies, industry representatives, and farmer representatives to develop practical strategies for container collection, Triple Rinse communication, and the safe management of used agricultural packaging. The consultation reflects BUUIC’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, circular economy practices, and cross-sector collaboration in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
