On October 14, 2026, Dr. Abhishek Tiwari, Lecturer in the Smart Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program at BUUIC, led second-year students enrolled in the Material Handling and Packaging course on an educational visit to Ichitan Green Factory and Tanland Learning Center, together with Dr. Wichien Rueboon, Acting Chairperson of the Smart Logistics and Supply Chain Management Program.
During the visit, students observed automated storage systems, conveyor systems, robotic material handling, bottle labeling, automated bottle and carton packaging, robotic palletizing, and box-wrapping operations. They also learned about product transportation and distribution across Thailand.
The visit highlighted Ichitan’s sustainability initiatives, including recyclable packaging, lightweight bottles, and recycling practices, demonstrating the importance of sustainable packaging and environmentally responsible supply chain operations.
This experience helped students connect classroom knowledge with real-world industrial practices in material handling, packaging technology, automation, and sustainability.
