On November 12, 2025, our Hospitality, Tourism, and MICE students enjoyed an exciting learning moment with a very special guest! We were honored to welcome Prof. Amélia Brandão from the University of Porto, who delivered an engaging lecture titled “Sustainable Hospitality: Green is the New Black?”
Her session took students beyond the glossy side of “going green” and into the real challenges hotels face when balancing guest expectations with true sustainability. With her lively insights and practical examples, Prof. Brandão showed how businesses can stay genuinely sustainable while still creating unforgettable guest experiences.
It was an eye-opening and motivating afternoon—our students walked away inspired, informed, and proud to learn directly from an international expert shaping the future of sustainable hospitality!
