International Students Explore Thai Culture Through “Sweet Connections: Learning Thai Culture through Desserts”

On November 14, 2025, BUUIC International Affairs and Global Relations hosted “Sweet Connections: Learning Thai Culture through Desserts,” welcoming exchange students from various countries. Before making Woon Ka-Ti (Coconut Milk Jelly), students learned about the meanings of Thai flowers and the history behind this traditional dessert, enriching their understanding of Thai culture.

During the workshop, participants enjoyed a hands-on experience—from extracting pandan aroma to preparing coconut layers and shaping the jelly. The activity offered both a fun culinary session and a meaningful cultural exchange.

The session ended with smiles and a deeper appreciation of Thai traditions. We look forward to welcoming more groups as we continue exploring Thai dessert menus together.
