The six-day program featured English and cultural learning activities, including Thai Culture and Etiquette, a Thai Dessert Making Workshop, community-based tourism learning, and lectures on Thai policies, economy, and the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Participants also explored Thai culture through visits to local attractions, the Institute of Marine Science, the Blue Crab Bank, Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram, the Grand Palace, and Sala Chalermkrung. The program strengthened English communication, cross-cultural understanding, experiential learning, and international academic collaboration between Burapha University and Kansai University.

The agreement was signed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Krittipat Pitchayadejanant, Dean of BUUIC, and Ms. Siriphan Piyaphotchanakorn, Human Resources Director of the company. The partnership aims to provide students with valuable opportunities through internships, industry engagement activities, and knowledge exchange initiatives that connect classroom learning with real-world business practices.

As a leading logistics and supply chain service provider, CEVA Logistics will support experiential learning and workforce development for BUUIC students. This collaboration reflects BUUIC’s commitment to preparing graduates with skills relevant to the industry while fostering sustainable university–industry partnerships.

Beyond academic learning, students also experienced Thai culture through study visits to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok and the Khao Chi Chan Buddha Image (Laser Buddha) in Pattaya. They also learned about sustainable management in the Bangsaen area and participated in a variety of hands-on cultural activities, including Thai traditional games, Thai dance, herbal inhaler making, and Thai food and dessert cooking.

The program offered a meaningful combination of academic development, cultural exchange, and experiential learning while strengthening international collaboration between BUUIC and Zhejiang Ocean University. BUUIC was delighted to have all the students with us and hopes to welcome you back again!

The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Watcharin Gasaluck, President of Burapha University, with a welcome address by Asst. Prof. Dr. Krittipat Pitchayadejanant, Dean of BUUIC.

More than 50 participants from MICE Eastern Cluster Universities e.g., Burapha University, Rajamangala University of Technology, and Rajabhat Rajanagarindra Unviersity engaged in interactive learning activities and workshops on MICE fundamentals, career pathways, event experience design, and MICE event pitching, led by industry experts and academia as namely, Ms. Parichat Svetasreni – The Director of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau for Central and Eastern Region, Mr. Pichet Turongkinanon, Chief Project Management Officer and Executive Director at CMO Public Company Limited, Ms. Pattamon Mekavarakul – Vice President of Cape Dara Pattaya and Founder of Lovell International School, in addition with Academia Experts from Burapha University International College (BUUIC) and Faculty of Music and Performing Arts (MUPA) and Rajamangala University of Technology.

Moreover, the camp aimed to inspire participants, develop practical skills, and connect students with professionals in the MICE industry. The initiative provided valuable experiential learning and strengthened the network between students and industry professionals, supporting the sustainable development of the MICE workforce where this organizing event reduced 360.46kgCO2eq in terms of carbon footprint.

Beyond the rice field, they discovered the Thai spirit, culture, and pride in rice farming, enjoyed a fun slingshot activity using natural fertilizer pellets, and shared a delicious meal made from local, natural ingredients with the community.

A wonderful day of learning, sharing, and connecting with Thai culture through the community.

The Koh Sichang exhibition highlighted local history, traditions, community ways of life, cultural capital, and the potential of Soft Power to create meaningful experiences and lasting impressions for visitors, while the Bangsaen exhibition explored the area’s unique coastal identity, local lifestyle, traditions, and community attractions that contribute to its appeal as a cultural and tourism destination.

The exhibition provided an opportunity for participants to discover, exchange, and celebrate the unique identities of these two destinations, supporting cultural preservation, local pride, and sustainable tourism development.
